FAQ

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

  • I am based in Fremantle, WA, on the West Coast of Western Australia. However, I work with clients all over the world as my services are available online via video calls.

  • No, you do not need a referral.

  • Unfortunately, Medicare does not accept the cost of couples therapy/counselling or psychotherapy at this time under the Mental Health Care Plan so no rebates can be offered.

Some private health insurance providers offer rebates. Please check with your providers.

  • INDIVIDUAL, COUPLE & FAMILY COUNSELLING/THERAPY SESSIONS

Initial Consultation with a Couple | 90 Minutes

General Therapy Session | 60 Minutes

  • Fees are payable at the time of your booking online and you will be guided through the payment process upon booking each session.

We are accepting payments through Stripe which accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Debit Cards.

  • Following an initial introductory session, typically, it requires between 6 to 10 subsequent sessions to thoroughly explore and work through the concerns and issues raised and to formulate a variety of solutions and potential interventions.

This, however, can only be used as a generalised framework as every situation is unique, and will be assessed on its own merit. A formal plan will be formulated and discussed following your initial consultation.

  • To be completely transparent, prior to Covid and the resurgence of Telehealth, I harboured some reservations about conducting therapy sessions online. I feared that the virtual platform might dilute the depth and connection between my clients and me as their therapist. However, over the last years, I have been profoundly moved by witnessing the transformative power of online therapy for individuals worldwide.

An online session offers the unique opportunity to journey inwards from the comfort of one’s own home, all the while enveloped in a nurturing cocoon of safety, presence, and attunement.

I will also take this opportunity to state that a quiet, uninterrupted space is crucial and supportive for a productive session.

  • The time between sessions is highly dependent on each person’s particular situation and concerns.

If this is your first experience with therapy/counselling, I like to recommend fortnightly sessions to allow time to process and adjust from there as needed.

If you find yourself navigating a significant trauma, challenge, or life transition, I typically suggest commencing with weekly therapy sessions. This approach aims to foster a deeper sense of safety and connection within our therapeutic alliance.

At the initial consultation, a plan for treatment will be discussed which will include scheduling.

  • This is all managed through the online booking portal.

I require 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, which allows me enough time to offer your appointment to other clients.

Therapy sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will attract a late notice fee equivalent to the full session fee, and sessions cancelled with 24-48 hours notice will attract a late notice fee of 50% of the full session fee. If I am able to fill the appointment with another booking, you will not be charged.

Late notice fees will only be waived in the case of a medical emergency.

  • All sessions are booked through the website through an online booking system that also manages payment, rescheduling, and cancelations.

Please just head to the BOOK NOW. Tab or button and it will take you to the available dates.

“Skye has been a breath of fresh air for us both. We were both on the edge, swaying unsteadily with what life was throwing at us. Through Skye we found grounding and peace and the much-needed air to breathe and words to communicate.”
